Japanese Photographers 4 Black Lives Matter was created to help raise funds and awareness for organizations and causes that take an active stance against racism and for inclusion and equality.
Changing systems, raising public awareness, and compelling people to take action happens one person at a time.

We hope that this project and the initiatives taken by others can inspire us all to ask “What can I do to bring about change?” Racism is a problem for all of us—by reaching out across borders, we aim to be accountable to both our local and global community, joining forces against racism and injustice wherever it occurs.

In bringing this project together, the participating photographers have expressed their commitment to these goals and appreciation for an opportunity to help.

Japanese Photographers 4 Black Lives Matterは、人種差別に反対し、インクルージョンや平等に積極的に取り組んでいる組織や団体の募金活動を支援するために設立されました。

制度や世の中の意識を変え、人々に積極的な行動をとってもらうには、一人一人が一斉にアクションを起こす必要があります。このプロジェクトと私たちのとる行動が、「変化をもたらすために自分には何ができるか」と自問自答するきっかけになることを願っています。人種差別は、私たち全てに関わる問題です。 国境を越えて手を差し伸べることで、地域社会とグローバルコミュニティの双方において、人種差別や不正が起きているあらゆる場所で力を合わせて立ち向かう責任を持つことを私たちは目指しています。

このプロジェクトを共に実現するにあたって、参加した写真家たちはこうした目標へのコミットメントと、支援の機会に対しての感謝の気持ちを示しています。
