In school growing up we all were taught that christopher columbus discovered America. How do you discover a country that already has people living there? He took land that was already occupied! Why were we never taught the history of the atrocities that took place against Blacks and Native Americans in America. Why? Because that meant that America would have to admit that it was wrong! And that the people who they name military bases after, erect statues of and name streets after were oppressors. It is ok to admit that you are wrong America! Well, It is time we start to right the ship if we want to heal. We are a diverse nation and we should be proud of all of our differences and proud of all the cultures that exist within our borders. History is unkind to many of America's founding fathers. Do your research folks, many powerful men over the course of history owned slaves and we have been taught to praise their good deeds but ignore the bad ones. it's time to learn the real histories so we can grow a more perfect union. On June 19th, 1865, #UnionGeneralGordonGranger led troops into Texas to announce that the Civil War was over and all the slaves have been freed! So In honor of this day I ask you all to go out and Support Black Businesses. #NewBlackFriday #Juneteenth @buyshareadvocate #Rosewood #Greenwood #supportblackbusiness #fairrepresentation #notaskingforahandoutjustahandup」6月19日 19時44分 - trayfour
