The kids are officially on summer vacation. We decided that they can have this week to do whatever they want— watch TV, play games online, run around the yard, etc. Next week we will start a little more of a schedule (like please READ for an hour!), but for now— they are free to relax and make themselves happy. A lot of people have asked when we plan to go back to the city. We spend most summers at our house, so on a regular year, this is when we would be coming here to live for the next few months anyway. Mike and I can both work from home. Our plan is to go back in September when school starts. That’s provided that school starts like normal in September. If it’s still distance learning, we will probably stay out here. I miss NYC immensely but the city is not the same right now. We live there because we love being around all the people and the restaurants and the shops and being out and about. If we have to stay at home, the house makes us feel significantly less trapped.
