Coral reefs support one-quarter of all ocean life. During a dive in Curaçao, Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute scientists spotted a green sea turtle gracefully swimming beside them. These herbivores graze on the marine algae growing on the coral reef. As they pause to eat, fish gather to remove pests and other hitchhiking organisms from the shells of these gentle giants.
