“I grew up in Australia, and now call New York home. In Australia I didn’t see anyone that looked like me growing up - and as a result, I struggled a lot with my identity. I embarked on a journey of discovery about six years ago, and claiming and owning my blackness was one of the most powerful things I’ve done. My goal as a model has always been to be the woman that I didn’t see growing up. I want women like me to feel seen, because if you can’t see it you can’t believe it."
