Each year, a disproportionately high number of transgender and gender non-conforming people are killed. Last week, Dominique “Rem’Mie” Fells and Riah Milton brought 2020's count to 14 known lives lost to violence in the US—a number that is often under- or misreported.
We honor Dominique “Rem’Mie” Fells and Riah Milton by saying their names.

We also acknowledge the historic victory for LGBTQ2+ people delivered by the US Supreme Court today, which bars employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of sex as well as race, color, national origin and religion. With this affirmation of rights, let us continue this momentum to end violence against trans and gender non-conforming people.
