I can’t remember the first time they met but I knew it was love at first sight, we kept hearing about her at home and one day after school, she suggested that we go bring her home. I didn’t know where we could find one but I decided to try Ebe Ano. As an Aba boy,who grew up playing table soccer and driving borex on my father’s balcony or any flat surface big enough for me and the person pushing me. On getting to Ebe Ano, we saw her in the toy section and that was how we finally brought Minnie Mouse home. Over time, her love for her actual show slowed down but her love for the stuffed doll grew bigger. Minnie is now a bed companion and in some cases, always sleeps in-between Jax and Lia. Following my theory of a runaway plan, I think they are planning to take Minnie with them and does not want to forget her in the house. I know it may not be true that they are planning to run away from us but hear me out first. A few things are changing around here, first we loosened their hair but they wouldn’t let Tandy plait it. I think they want to hit the streets looking like two young boys going home after washing windshields on Freedom way. They have also started playing their Piano daily like people planning to play “ Train Station Gigs” but I don’t want to be the one to tell them that we don’t have any of such in Lagos. Lia is changing, she wasn’t always wearing slippers but I have caught her wearing one everyday in the last one week. Jax is riding her bicycle more with Lia acting as a loader. I don’t know if the plan is to start an Okada business or if the plan is to escape with the bicycle but they have not perfected their plans because I have not seen them trying to pack Lia’s feeding bottles or maybe they plan to cut milk off her diet. Chim oo They have brought out their big Teddys and have placed them around the house to confuse us. They think seeing them on the stairs will make us think they are the ones. I have caught Lia ok camera checking out the perimeters from top of the stairs. I think we need to call them for a meeting or apologize for any way Chioma may have treated them.
