The above is a trailer for an incredible film called @inmyblooditruns following 10-yr-old Arrernte Aboriginal boy Dujuan as he grows up Alice Springs, Australia.

My country of Australia has its own violent history of racism, the #blacklivesmatter movement will hopefully also shed light on what has been generations of injustice and racism faced by our First Nations Australians.
From @childrensground an organization led by Aboriginal Communities:
“We work with children, families and communities that face the greatest exclusion and live with injustice and disadvantage every single day. This is Australia’s greatest humanitarian failure and it is preventable.”
These facts shared through their instagram:
▪️In Australia, we lock up First Nations people at four times the rate of black Americans.
▪️There was 32% increase in the Indigenous suicide rate from 1998 and 2015.
▪️100% of young people in jail in the Northern Territory last year were Aboriginal children.
▪️First Nations people make up 3.3% of the population (2% of adult population) and 27% of prison population
▪️First Nations Young people make up 50% of inmates in youth prisons.
The age of criminal responsibility is 10 years.
▪️Over 430 First Nations people have died in custody since the 1991 Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody
“@childrensground exists to deny the continuance of this injustice and violence. To prevent the next generation from being caught in a life of fear, surveillance and threats to personal and cultural safety.
