This talk was incredibly inspiring and will be one of our guiding principles as we think about a new normal. We launched our Foundation in 2009 to support women entrepreneurs and four years ago, it became very clear to us that dealing with the systematic impediments to women’s equality was not enough. That led us to launch our Embrace Ambition initiative in 2017 to amplify awareness about the negative impact of bias in all its forms. Now, we understand the importance and also feel a moral obligation to go further, particularly about race. We are more committed than ever to having difficult conversations internally and with you, our extended TB family. It may become uncomfortable at times, but we know that racism will not end if we don’t acknowledge it, denounce it and call it what it is. Over the next few days we will share the steps we are taking internally to become a more “Color Brave” company and talk about the resources and ways for all of us to become more Color Brave in our homes and communities.
