I would like to propose a delightful cake that goes perfectly with afternoon tea. This is in memory of Jean Gooch, my dear mother-in-law who recently passed away in her deep sleep. This is Jean’s apple cake recipe that she also learned from her mother when she was a young girl living in English countryside during WWII.
