Takiさんのインスタグラム写真 - (TakiInstagram)「I didn’t know what to say when I saw George Floyd’s video.I wanted to post something to express my pain and outrage but I was too afraid that I might not be able to say the right words.To be honest I was scared to be insensitive. What happened to George Floyd was inhumane...but it wasn’t the first time.It has been happening for as long as I can remember. People of color have been suffering racism for a very long time.As a woman of mixed roots,I had also experienced first hand discriminations and mysogynistic comments. But,I have NEVER ever been afraid to go out of my own house,walk around my neighborhood,shop,eat in the restaurant or live my life. For the last 30days alone,there was a man shot and killed while jogging in his neighbor,a woman shot 8 bullets while baby sitting her nephew in her own house.This is outrageous !!! Some questions and say that it should be ALL lives matter not only BLACK. And,I do agree that ALL LIVES matter but I think WE NEED and HAVE to say #blacklivesmatter bec it’s only them who needs to live in constant fear by only existing!!It is only them,only black people are always arrested,sentenced unfairly,shot,killed,murdered by simply just being BLACK!!! I know I won’t be able to totally understand how they feel and be scared the same way as they are. But,I refuse to be complicit with RACISM by saying NOTHING!!!I don’t want to ENABLE RACISM by saying or doing nothing!!! We all need to be educated and be aware.We all need to stand in solidarity in vehemently condemning RACISM and discriminations of all kinds!!! I turned 20 this year and that gives me right to vote as a japanese citizen. I will exercise that right and responsibility to choose my future by choosing wisely my country’s leaders. My heart goes out to George Floyd’s family.May he rest in peace🙏 I am supporting people who are protesting peacefully around the world.I am also encouraging younger generations to raise awareness of the racism happening everyday around us. I am praying for everyone to be safe as we are still in the middle of the pandemic🙏🙏🙏 Please please stay safe!!!#blackouttuesday」6月2日 14時54分
