Two viruses ravaging America: coronavirus and the virus of racism. One hit hard this year. One has been festering for centuries.

I believe we can defeat both with the same cure: empathy. It’s inside all of us. Inside each of our hearts. And the beautiful thing is, this cure is free. We all have access to it. We all have the power to administer it to inspire change. We just need to open our hearts, listen to each other, and lead with love.

I stand with the protesters and Black America.
In a broken system where the marginalized are constantly silenced and peaceful protest is consistently ignored, the natural reaction will be to get louder and sometimes violent.

Of course I don’t condone vandalism, but I also can’t see how things could have remained peaceful given the toxicity of the situation.
People are running out of options.
