I’m so proud to see everyone together fighting for black people’s rights, I’ve never seen so many people involved in it and I’ve been really aware of this battle for years since I’ve personally made mistakes as a young uneducated eli. It’s never easy to recognize our mistakes but it’s so important, when I was younger I used to sing the n word in rap songs at 1 point some people online told me : “you can’t do that”& I didn’t understand at 1st, in my head there was no bad intentions & everyone around me was also doing it, i even asked some black friends around me, they told me it wasn’t a big deal so back then I thought it was good arguments for a day till I really got interested in “why does it hurt people to say a word that for me simply meant “friends” and was a “cool” word?”. I’ve made so many researches and people online helped me alot to understand why it wasn’t right. I’ve learned so much from this mistake & after that I also convinced the people around me about why it wasn’t right & since then I’ve always did the best of my capacities to help. For those who didn’t know I’m not from the US & I’m not from a big city either, I personally got informed from the day I started having some international followers other than that maybe I wouldn’t have till today. many people around me, including myself, are not fully educated about this subject & might not even think racism still exists today. The reason why I’m saying this rn is because I see alot of big debates online mostly from people living in my area, clearly there is alot of education to be made and it’s so wonderful to see it’s happening rn (I wish it happened earlier) I encourage everyone to educate themselves, acknowledge your mistakes, if you see someone uneducated, educate them respectfully that’s how we grow as a team ❤️」6月1日 7時15分 - elisabethrioux
