In 2020 people still have to endure hate because of their skin color. It's heartbreaking that after hundreds of years nothing has really changed, racism is real and urgent. George Floyd's death was a monstrosity that reveals how deep and institutionalised our systems are with racism, particularly in America, but this is a global problem. We need to take action, a first step is to acknowledge the privilege that non black people like myself have access to. We must speak out whenever we see racism, the most hateful of crimes. We have to address it and use any means possible to eliminate it. I just donated to the Minnesota Freedom Fund and encourage all of you my friends to do the same. This cannot be just a momentary time of reflection on this issue, it must be a continuous effort for everybody to fight racism actively in every form, everyday. It will be for me and it should be for everyone. Now more than ever it’s the time for a CHANGE.
