The iconic concrete curves of architect Kenzo Tange’s Tokyo Gymnasium were concealed for much of the past year as the structure was readied as the handball venue for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
This will be the building's second Olympiad, as it was the swimming and diving venue for the Tokyo 1964 Olympics. Long since replaced with standard flooring, swipe to see what it used to look like inside.
