Our environmental commitments come to life within our Maisons. In order of appearance, discover a selection of initiatives which gear towards environmental excellence:
For the last decade, bees and their future have been at the heart of @ゲラン’s sustainable development program. This year, Guerlain partners with @UNESCO to lead a 5-year program designed to train new beekeepers, create beekeeping affiliates across the world and measure the benefits of pollination in biosphere reserves.
Guerlain is also a proud partner of world-renowned photographer and ecologist @YannArthusBertrand’s @fondationgoodplanet to raise awareness among younger generations about protecting bees.
@MoetHennessy and its Maisons also celebrate biodiversity, which keeps the Soils alive, and is the foundation of their commitment to the Living Soils.
For example, @veuveclicquot plants the vineyard with grass and experiments with the introduction of cover crops growing between the vines. This plant diversity promotes soil health.
At @CapeMentelle in Western Australia, nearly 1,000 sheep graze in the vineyards from winter to spring. This ancestral practice controls grass height naturally, removing the need for herbicide or weeding tractors, the weight of which compacts soils and threatens the life within.
