Before the time of uncertainty Jenni had sought out a horse after Ms Chippy, her mare of 18 years, passed away. My late father gave Chippy to Jenni when we wed. After looking neigh and far Jenni saw Redwing at Brooks Ranch, Jamestown, Calif. Being in Tuolumne County we had planned on driving to Big Oak and getting a chance to stand in a corral together. Alas - we had to commit sight unseen due to travel considerations. When Redwing stepped out of the trailer, calmly assessed the afternoon thunderhead and nuzzled up to Jenni, we smiled.
