Started teaching Heels cuz women looked less than great on gigs & thought I could help by upgrading their knowledge in heels. I didn’t get support from many so I started teaching beginner positions with friends who supported me. Since I vogue and my style is naturally “Cunt”, I brought my freestyle element to my Heels Class to upgrade the level of style & BOYardi did it catch On! You couldn’t tell me 11yrs ago that so much would change. For example this is considered an Average Ass Heels routine, but at the moment No 1 Moved Like This. It was a feeling that came out of me and my connection to the music, not me taking from others. Nowadays It’s completely normal to morph your style into anything you want. I recently saw this documentary “No Maps On My Taps” on TCM and the Icon Sandman Sams said “You don’t take steps, you get ideas” That really spoke to me. Most of this generation is totally incapable of doing exactly what he said. When I look at Aya I dont feel like she takes my moves and runs with it, I know she’s thinking of how she can flip it to make it her own. I mean some moves you can’t help to do and I’m not claiming I made every “Heels” move. What a lot of you don’t understand is that ‘Heels’ is basically ‘Dance’. What type of heels class is it? Is it today’s hip hop tik tok moves in Heels? Well Hip Hip Hooray, I’m sure Marylin Monroe is so jealous of all of you 👀..! This is how I know you all did not get creative. I’ve studied more than 15 styles & still learning...ALL of that is a part of me & in my Heels class. We all don’t learn the same styles in the same way so howdoes every routine look similar? Hmmm 🤔 Me personally, I cannot look like others, IT ANNOYS ME & makes it more difficult to be innovative& different in a world searching for the new thing to falsely claim. Everyone has 0 shame. Rats are now considered Queens & Kings. Where Am I? This is Y I Thank Aya. She gave me so much hope at a time where I wanted to give up. When no1 wanted the help I was offering she was there.
