Paige Hathawayさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Paige HathawayInstagram)「I spent years on social media posting my “best angles” with the “best lighting” flexing, sucking in and flexing, twisting my body like a pretzel; trying to get the “perfect photo.” I’d like to say my pregnancy not only gave me the greatest gift (my daughter) but it allowed me to receive the greatest gift (for myself) and that’s truly loving ME and my body. Not that I didn’t love myself before because I did but I didn’t truly appreciate what my body does for me. Our bodies will be different throughout our life and we shouldn’t beat ourselves up. We age, we have our periods, we have babies, we go through life... we get stressed, we feel emotion AND WE CHANGE. We change and our bodies change. CHANGING IS GOOD. Change = growth... It took A LOT of change/growth (having a baby) to see things differently. Of course we all want to look and FEEL our best. I strive to hit my fitness goals every week and I think we should all have some sort of goal to stay healthy and take care of our bodies but when we have bad days/weeks or go through CHANGE in our life where we gain 10lbs / 20lbs... We shouldn’t break ourselves down and inwardly speak negative. Allowing our self conscious mind to say things like “Girl you shouldn’t wear this... you look huge.” , “You might as well throw all your shorts away and never buy shorts again.” , “Looks like I’m having another summer staying inside because I won’t be caught dead in a swimsuit.” - I wish I could tell myself years ago “Paige, you should allow yourself to be who you are NO APOLOGIES. That the perfect physique or picture doesn’t exist.” PERFECTION IS A LIE! It doesn’t exist no matter what social media tells you. Wrap your arms around your body and give yourself a big bear HUG. Tell yourself, YOU ARE PERFECT🤍」5月9日 1時03分 - paigehathaway
