You can go by Ferry Yonakuni🚢 (from Ishigaki Island) or airplane✈️ But actually Taiwan is closer to Yonaguni than Ishigaki and when it's sunny, you can see the vague outline of Taiwan from western side. In the past, celebrities built second homes in this dream island but now it's quite and faced with a declining population. Though there are not a lot of restaurants and it's a little difficult to travel, in other words,it's like a unexplored region and you should realize this is one of the furthest reaches of Japan.
