So in my nostalgia this morning, I found pictures of my last vacation in Cuba last March . I miss the sand, the ocean, the relaxations, and the ease of laughing. I also love being disconnected from my own reality and embracing the beauty of life around me. . Something I’ve been struggling with since this social distancing began is being disconnected from people, but overly connected to the social media world. It is blurring the lines between what is real and what isn’t. Following along with what people choose to show, makes me itch to get back out in the world and move on from all of this. But it also makes me want to curl into a ball of memories and live in the past. With each passing day it is harder to live in the moment. To appreciate the stillness. But that is my goal. To live presently. To live with the good, the bad, and all in between. To not panic that I am falling behind.
