I really wanted to sit on that particular merry-go-round animal, and was THRILLED to actually get it 🎠 Visiting Disneysea (and Disneyland) in Japan is an absolutely delightful experience. It has an infectious happiness starting from the second you arrive. It’s like entering a movie set and when you turn a corner, that wildly changes the costumes and themes around you. It’s a lot to explore and I’ve learned to take it at my own pace. The first time I ever went, I left my cane at home thinking I could “push through” but oh ho ho was I ever wrong. Ended up leaving in the afternoon from exhaustion, didn’t get the chance to see anything at night. At the time it was difficult for me to face using my mobility aid, but now I see it as just that: an aid made to help me stay mobile. It isn’t an “old” person thing. It isn’t an “uncool” thing. It’s for helping us have more fun and be less stressed :) Last Halloween I had no concerns about being a #babewithamobilityaid and because of that excellent decision, I saw the evening unfold and it was gorgeous.
