But I have a very personal relationship with the event after winning it 5 times. It was also my last race as a professional although that wasn't planned. 😄 So, it's good to look through the years (pics from left to right are 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 & 2017) and remember the great moments I had in Schoten at the finish line. They call the Scheldeprijs the "unofficial sprint world championship" because it's flat and is 99% sure a bunch sprint. Was always a challenge to be well positioned with the team and to not crash on the empty plastic beer cups in the corner after the finish line. 😜 Good memories from Belgium!
