In 2014, @mensjournal asked me to travel to Utah to photograph the @unbrandedthefilm team as they made their way across the state. It was a short window into an outrageous journey...four young texans had adopted and trained wild mustangs and were riding 3,000 miles along the backbone of the rockies to traverse the heart of the American West from the Mexican border, all the way to Canada. It was an exercise in tenacity as much as adventure, as well as an intimate portrait of America’s public lands and their uncertain future.
