The International @オリンピック Committee and Japan announced yesterday that they have agreed to postpone this summer’s Tokyo Games. Safety comes first in the COVID-19 pandemic; if anything, the decision felt belated. Still, hearts broke around the world at the news. But not because the Games would’ve been a welcome distraction come late July, a date when all of us are hoping the worst of the coronavirus crisis is over, or at least well on the wave.
