Force me into quarantine in a 20m2 hotel room. Abandon me in the open sea on a dinghy boat. Lock me up in a prison cell. Leave me in the middle of the desert. As long as I can make conscious use of the only thing that I carry along with me all the time and cannot be deprived of —my Mind—, nothing can stop me from finding ways to continue learning, progressing and refining some aspect of my Self.
Exercise your ability to choose how to respond to life’s circumstances regardless of how unsatisfactory or catastrophic they appear to be. Do not underestimate the power of framing. You may not be always capable of predicting the reality that will unfold in front of you, but you can always adjust the inner structures that you use to interpret the world in useful, meaningful and constructive ways.
