I want to dedicate this post to letting people know the positives of being a male gymnast nowadays. After this American Cup I was reminiscing with some of the gymnasts about all the times we’ve been together and the stories we’ve acquired over the years and that’s when it hit me. I’ve never felt any malice or negativity from any of my competitors since I started competing on the world stage in 2012. Most sports have rivalries, shit talking, and unnecessary drama. I’m happy to report I haven’t felt any of that through out my whole career. The worst of it only comes from the media, but in terms of the sportsmanship and quality of character, I will say men’s gymnastics is unparalleled to any other sport. I’ve never been more proud to be a gymnast and have made so many friends through out the years. To end, I just want to say thank you to all of the gymnasts that have made this sport so rewarding and don’t ever change. Let’s stick together, fight together, and keep having fun together.
