Storm Gloria hit Spain on Monday, submerging coastal cities with floods, 40-foot waves, and sea foam as tidal surge sweeps two miles inland.⁣ ⁣ At least 13 people have unfortunately died so far and over 200,000 people have been left without power.⁣ ⁣ The Spanish town of Tossa de Mar was engulfed in thick marine foam, created as rough seas churn disintegrating organic matter such as algae.⁣ ⁣ Sea foam is usually harmless , but depending on the algae present, as bubbles within the foam pop they can release certain airborne toxins which can irritate eyes and lungs.⁣ Video by Joan Jordana (jordana_joan) on Twitter.⁣ Via @wherecanisignin
