When I first saw this photo entitled “Survivor” the true devastation of Australia’s ongoing bush fire crisis really hit home. Over the course of the last 10 days, my friend, and Foundation Ambassador David Yarrow has been in Australia documenting the raging bush fires that have destroyed communities, wildlife and wildlands.

David was so shaken by what he saw he returned with an idea to launch a courageous campaign to raise $2 million to support recovery effort in Australia. David and environmental organization WildArk launched the #KoalaComeback campaign today! To help kick off the Kevin Richardson Foundation is making a USD 2000 contribution, but in truth, it is YOU who can make a difference. If everyone gave a small sum we could make a huge difference! Fifty percent of the proceeds will be directed to Earth Alliance’s Australia Wildfire Fund, and WildArk will use the remaining donations to support local organizations working on wildlife rehabilitation and habitat restoration.
