Can you believe the colorful plumage of the Lilac-breasted Roller (Coracias caudatus)? This vibrant bird is found in sub-Saharan Africa, where it lives in open woodland or grassland habitats. It’s often seen perched on trees scanning the area for insects to snack on. Both males and females come in the array of pink and blue hues. Males are known for their acrobatic courtship rituals, which include a series of rolling, twisting, looping, and diving movements.
