As well as a film maker and painter, he was a wonderful man and insightful diarist who gave us fascinating accounts of his life and times. One of Jarman's great achievements was transforming a Victorian fisherman’s hut in Dungeness into a sanctuary of art and imagination, for artists to come together and work. Today Jarman's cottage represents the most complete distillation of his pioneering creativity across film, art, writing and gardening – and we want to keep it that way. We're delighted to be working with @ArtFund and @creativefstone to save Jarman's iconic home and garden for future generations. 🏠🍃 Some of Jarman's fragile items, including sketchbooks and memorabilia, will be preserved in Tate's Britain's archive and made available for public access.
