If I’ve learned anything this past year, it’s to work less, enjoy more, to be happy, not rich and to be motivated by passion, not ego. Being burnt out isn’t cool, not having time for yourself is lame and missing out on life’s simplest pleasures because you “have no time” is a sad way to live. Stress has become the health epidemic of the 21st century and an estimated 75-90% of all doctor visits are stress related. It doesn’t help that on top of all of the regular stressors of life, we’ve created a culture of never not working and no days off. We applaud those who have too much on their plate and are impressed by workaholics. And while there’s nothing wrong with loving what you do and being a hard worker, I’ve found that those aren’t the things that bring you lasting happiness. Fleeting happiness- sure, but nothing that really lasts. Personally, slowed way down, taken on less projects, quit some side hustles and learned that time is the most valuable commodity. And funny enough, it’s the only thing that money, notoriety and success can’t buy. Wishing everyone the happiest New Year full of love, health and the things that truly matter. ❤️😊✌️
