One of my biggest milestones in my career and definite pinch me moment of the decade was when @Mattel made a Chriselle Lim Barbie and also gave me the opportunity to style 2 barbies for their @バービー STYLED BY series. ⠀⠀

Never being able to identify with the dolls I had nor the women I looked up to.... I knew my Barbies had to represent a number of things. Representation in color & culture, inclusion in size, and a woman who does it all. She represents the modern woman who can wear multiple hats... she can be a loving mother but a bad ass career woman. She can be assertive yet vulnerable and kind at the same time. She forges her own path! ⠀⠀

I honestly still can’t believe this happened. On top of that These Barbies sold out in 3 hours. 😱 It was insane. (They are finally available again on Amazon for those of you that couldn’t get your hands on them. Link in bio). ⠀⠀

This moment was so important to me not just for bragging rights, but knowing that I have been able to use my platforms (something I’ve built for the past 10 years) to have a small impact on our future generation. Being able to be a part of this cultural shift of inclusion and diversity. And hope that one day we can live in a truly inclusive culture and break down the narrow walls that surround diversity and inclusion which will ultimately give more opportunities for the next generation. ⠀⠀
