@alleewillis I wish I could’ve told you in person one more time how much you meant to me. We didn’t know each other for very long but our conversations and connection was one of the realest I’d ever felt in this insane industry. First of all, you had a globe full of joints that popped out at me that you showed me as soon as you and I shared one in your fabulous backyard. You had one of the most beautiful, unique, character dripping homes I’d ever seen, and you had a full, vivacious, spunky ass spirit to match it exactly. You were the definition of who I hope to be at your age; full of LIFE and JOY and COLOR and VIBRANCE. The last thing you could possibly be was boring. The fact that you co-wrote September and Boogie Wonderland was wild to me, especially considering the story you told about how many female songwriters were listened to in rooms back then, much less in them. I wish I would’ve answered your last text, it kills me that I didn’t. Also kills me that I wasn’t able to come by and pick up those books you had ordered for me or go vintage shopping with you or thank you for the amount of love you gave me that night Gracie tragically died while we were working on our song. I’ll miss you more than I think you’ll ever know and that makes me a bit sad but also incredibly happy to have been able to know a spirit like yours at all. We’ll all miss you, I know you made an impact on absolutely everyone who got to hear that beautiful laugh. Goodbye for now my beautiful friend, I’ll pray to you often while I’m in the stu and needs some vibes.
