When it came to designing her Washington, D.C. kitchen, architect @carmelgreer opted for classic white walls with striking pops of black, including marble counters and tiles on the island. "The house is predominantly white, so I liked the idea of something dark and intense," says Greer of the space, which showcases the power of contrasts.
