Adela (left) has been a fierce and unstoppable athlete her whole life and she has the trophies and medals to prove it, having represented Mexico internationally. She’s still going.

One of the founding members of Carta Blanca, Adela has played with the team for 67 years. “When we started to play, we would get together in primary school—we were probably 12 years old,” she says. “And now we are still together and I’m 78 years old.”
