ベス・ロッデンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ベス・ロッデンInstagram)「Before leaving Yosemite for the season, my friend, amazing photographer and all around good human @austin_siadak offered to take some pictures of me capturing what I have been writing about. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a little teary-eyed when I read his message, and felt seen in a rare way. It's the first time in a long while that I was excited for a photo shoot and didn’t worry about my softer body. There is zero way I would have agreed to this even a year ago without some serious self doubt, criticism and thoughts of needing to firm up or lose weight. I'm pleased to report I only felt full of happiness during our short shoot together, and seeing the pictures afterwards. Here is one of his lovely images in Camp 4. Thank you Austin, for taking the time to help celebrate loving our bodies as they are. It took me years to feel empowered to transform things I used to think of as brave into normal. It's amazing how far a little love and compassion can go.
