McKee, Kentucky, is the seat of one of the poorest counties in the U.S.—and has some of the fastest Internet in the country. For nearly 15 million Americans living in sparsely populated communities, there is no broadband Internet service at all. But in Jackson and Owsley Counties, every home and business is outfitted with high-speed fibre-optic cable.
