They have launched a program called "Plant a Billion Trees,” and they’re planting in forests across the world that are severely degraded and in need of restoration, including in the U.S., Brazil, Mexico and China to name a few. • The trees I’m giving today — in honor of @chefeduardogarcia + @beccaskinner, my sweet Mom + Dad, and my entire @workinprogress audience — will be planted in the Upper Great Lakes region, which houses forests renowned for their biodiversity, recreational, scenic and economic value, as well as the clean fresh water they supply to the Great Lakes watersheds. These trees will be planted in Spring 2020, which is this region's typical planting season.
