I remember climbing to the top of the Acropolis in Athens on those crutches and it was a beautiful day, sun was shining. As soon as I got to the top.. this lighting ⚡️and thunder storm began. Now while everyone else ran for cover (note the people under the umbrella lol) I had no choice but to embrace it and make the long slow trek down. While holding what felt like two lighting rods haha
I loved that moment because while everyone else seemed worried, I just had to be present, take my time getting down the mountain (or I’d slip and fall), and have faith it was all going to be alright. (Aka I don’t get struck by lightning, which was right above us) And so I did
I was never actually worried but it reminded me to be thankful. To be alive. To be present. And I am every day. And I’m thankful for all of you and hope you all had the best day! Whether you celebrate thanksgiving or not.
