To create the works on paper "Me Derrame" and "Cuerpo Como Marca" (both 2019), Carmen Argote used dyes made from guava, iron, and lemon juice. A tile imprint from the studio bathroom floor in which Argote worked is just one of the visible traces imparted on her works by their environment.
