We never got tired of his humorous stories, for example of how he had to demonstrate the Yosemite boulder problem Blues Suede Shoes to young “all muscles and no brain“ Wolfgang Güllich – all in his trusty heavy mountain boots of course! During his whole life, Hans maintained an unorthodox and unique attitude towards, well, everything! For everybody who climbed with Hans, he will be a part of why and how they climb and I’m happy to report that a friend found a very fitting place for his grave where I’m sure he’ll rest in peace!
