Repost from @dawnlyen: On November 12th, the Supreme Court will hear a case challenging President Trump’s unlawful termination of the DACA program which protects immigrants who were brought to America as children. The Supreme Court will either uphold the lower court decisions or give this administration the green-light to cut the program and add DACA recipients to the list of people he’s already targeting.

I care about this issue for many reasons. First and foremost because I'm someone who believes all people deserve dignity and that where you were born should not dictate your quality of life. As Anthony James Williams said, "We are not all muslims, nor are we all Trayvon, nor are we all undocumented. Yet global history shows us that what affects one group of marginalized people surely has an effect on similarly marginalized groups." Beyond that though, Black immigrants from West Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America are affected but often invisibilized in this fight. I stand with groups like @undocublack, @fwdus, @wearesoze, and @weinspirejustice who are making sure undocumented people are both heard and protected!
