近代まで神宮と呼ぶことが許されていたのは、伊勢神宮、鹿島神宮と、この香取神宮。
とにかく由緒ある場所で、古事記や日本書紀に出てくる有名なエピソード、国譲りで、とても重要な役割を果たした神様が祀られているんだよ😊✨
とにかく黒塗りの本宮が歴史を感じて、すごくカッコよかった。
たまたま遭遇した修学旅行生に混じって、神職の方の話を盗み聞きw
個人的には奥宮が、聖域って雰囲気がビンビン感じて背筋がピンと伸びました🙏

There are only three Shrines which are allowed to be called as Jingu till the modern era. They are Ise Jingu, Kashima Jingu and this Katori Jingu.
Katori Jingu has a long history. The deity of this shrine is from the famous episode about the Land offering in Kojiki (records of ancient matters) and Nihonshoki (chronicles of Japan). The black painted main shrine was so cool and historic ambience.
I was lucky enough to overhear while the Shinto priest explained about the shrine to students from the school trip.
I personally think the rear shrine is super sacred and cleanse my soul.
