Heard #NaomiKlein speak last night at @hammer_museum. 🔥🔥🔥. Literally. Her new book is a must read for anyone who wants a tangible, incredibly challenging but truly hopeful plan of action to meet the climate crisis. When thinking about voting in primaries and beyond something to consider is: how much is the candidate talking about climate change whether asked directly about it or not. Foreign policy questions should include climate change answers. So should questions on jobs, military spending, education, health care, etc. This shit is all connected. Sometimes thinking about climate change makes me want to get under the bed covers and never come out. Especially as Los Angeles is constantly on fire. It’s overwhelming. But Naomi’s book will make you feel the opposite of depressed. It will make you feel invigorated. The dramatic changes many of us have long wanted toward realizing a more equitable and sane world are actually within reach because the climate crisis is a true GAME OVER unless met with huge imagination, determination and creativity. #greennewdeal
