@hypebeastkicks: The International Association of Athletics Federations is investigating @NIKE’s ZoomX Vaporfly silhouette after receiving numerous complaints from professional runners who claim that the shoes provide an unfair advantage. It features a full-length carbon fiber plate which provides increased propulsion, a more breathable material and extra foam for Achilles support. Since its launch, athletes have been breaking records in the shoes quite frequently, including Eliud Kipchoge who wore a special prototype of the Vaporfly when he became the first person to run a sub-two-hour marathon, and Brigid Kosgei when she broke the women’s world record the next day.
