#TBT A picture is worth a thousand words and the work of Shusei Nagaoka is no exception. The image above is the first draft painting called 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. He created and presented it to Maurice White a few months before the production of our I Am album in 1979. The final cover is the image below. Later, they used the top portion of the first draft to create the single cover for Boogie Wonderland (swipe).⠀
