This view from our Cassini spacecraft's narrow-angle camera, taken on July 14, 2014, looks toward the Saturn-facing hemisphere of Tethys. North on Tethys is up and rotated 43 degrees to the right. ⁣ ⁣ Cassini launched in 1997 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and arrived at Saturn in 2004. NASA extended its mission twice – first for two years, and then for seven more. The second mission extension provided dozens of flybys of the planet's icy moons. Cassini explored the Saturn system for 13 years, finishing with "Grand Finale" dives between Saturn and its rings.
