I believe dancing is primal. It’s in ALL of us, it’s in our DNA. Before we walk or crawl, we DANCE. It’s like we Unlearn the freedom of movement as we get older. We become self-conscious of what people might think of us and start to let go of our physical expression. For example if you put a toddler on the ground, and put some music on, what happens? This video is a perfect representation of that. The baby wasn’t taught, or told what to do, they just start bobbing up and down, as if there is a primal instinct that says MOVE. I hear so often “I’m not a dancer” “I can’t dance” but then ask yourself this, when did you decide that? Who told you you weren’t? You weren’t born with that belief. You don’t have to be a technically trained dancer to dance. Freedom to physically express is something we were all born with and no one can take that away from you. So why not tap back into that primal part of you and see what happens. Crank some music on and just start moving:) I dare you 😉
