He is a true artist in every sense of the word! When I had the honor of being in Chicago the musical playing Roxie Hart I got to witness the hard work , training and discipline required to be a real dancer , like Val.! Dancers are the ultimate athletes and they have my utmost respect and admiration. Val is not only an incredible dancer and choreographer but I got to hear him rap some of his poetry. He literally moved me to tears he is so sensitive and deep . But he’s also a lot of fun and he knows how to keep it light when the steps evaded me. He really worked hard getting me ready for the show, his charming choreography was the perfect compliment to a special song written just for me #uptowngirl so everything was poised to give you an entertaining moment! That’s why when I tripped and shattered my wrist it was such a crushing disappointment..I was letting down Val, #dwts , my kids, and all of you who have shared your excitement for my participation in the show.
